Cycling
Whether on a mountain bike or a road bike, you can put your fitness to the test here. The climb up to Les Fontanelles is as steep as the Mont Ventoux, but mercifully shorter.
Electric mountain bikes (ATB) can be hired close to Les Fontanelles and are delivered to the gîte free of charge.

Running errands isn’t always easy on a motorbike. We’re happy to help: send us your shopping list in advance and we’ll make sure everything is at the gîte when you arrive.

Canoeing
In nearby Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val you can hire a canoe and paddle down the Aveyron. An activity our guests consistently come back raving about. There’s a card at the gîte that gives you 10% off, or use code CF-15 when you book.

In high season we recommend booking a day ahead.

Thursday: Villefranche
Friday: Gaillac
Saturday: Varen
Sunday: Saint-Antonin
Here you’ll find an overview of all markets in the Tarn.

Brocantes
In summer there are brocantes (antiques fairs) and vide-greniers (yard sales) everywhere. Click here for an up-to-date overview of flea markets in the area.
Festivals
Festivals
Summer festivals are a Tarn institution. Winegrowers host apéro concerts, villages put on multi-day fêtes — often with fireworks — and there are marchés gourmands throughout the season. At every event, local producers serve up their own food and wine.
Add music, big or small, and any festival turns into a celebration. The full apéro concerts (winegrower events) calendar is here.
