We had a fantastic week at Gite De Fontanelles. First and foremost, a particularly warm welcome from Marleen and Bert. As for the gite itself -> it truly has all the comforts, is very well maintained, fresh washed towels, wonderfully made beds, extensive kitchen equipment, a very comfortable bathroom with washing machine, lovely terraces, the wonderful swimming pool and you name it.... We were also pleasantly surprised by the surroundings: you really don't have to drive far to discover special places. In short: a real must-visit both in terms of the gite, the property, the cleanliness, the pool, the peace and quiet and the surroundings! A well-deserved 10!

It wasn't our first time staying at Les Fontanelles, and once you've been there you definitely want to come back. Because it's simply wonderful. A beautiful gîte with everything you could possibly need. If you need something in the kitchen, you just open a drawer or a cupboard and grab it. Just like at home. Yes, there's even a cheese slicer! The beds are lovely and the sheets are ironed. And we always sleep so well there because it's so quiet. The kids had a fantastic time in the beautiful swimming pool. And there's plenty for them to do in the surrounding area too. They went canoeing and climbed trees (Parc Aventure near St. Antonin Noble Val). But we also took them on a couple of beautiful walks (Marleen has a good guidebook with walks). While walking you can even spot your first deer right on the property. And don't forget the beautiful little towns in the area or a bit further afield; Cordes and Albi. We'll definitely be coming back, maybe a couple of times.

Bert and Marleen's holiday home is one that comes with great ribbons on it. You are welcomed very warmly and thoughtfully. The home is decorated with great care, respecting its authenticity while still providing all the comforts — truly a gem. All spaces are generous — we stayed there with 4 adults and a 1-year-old toddler. The beds are beautifully made and very comfortable, there are more than enough towels, the kitchen is fully equipped, there are books, CDs and DVDs and games, and so on. The swimming pool and sun loungers are delightful. The house is situated in a quiet, green setting. Now we know what peace and quiet is again... We have rented holiday homes many times before, and for us this is a top pick!

Our stay with Marleen and Bert was excellent. The location is truly special: plenty of nature with a good dose of fresh and especially healthy air, pleasant villages, occasionally meeting oncoming or preceding traffic on the beautiful roads of the Tarn region, and then the accommodation itself! We really enjoyed it... we were speechless: 80 m² of living pleasure with everything you could want: induction cooktop, dishwasher and washing machine (Miele), a fully equipped kitchen, two large, beautiful bedrooms with lovely beds, a great bathroom and a separate tiny room, plenty of seating in the living room, swimming pool and terrace without paparazzi (very private)!! And all of this bathed in lovely sunshine! We couldn't have asked for better. Once you've been there, you won't look for another location!

Had a wonderful week in a fantastic setting. Lovely house with everything you could wish for. And then such a beautiful garden with its own forest! Comfortable bed, great shower, nice couch and a lovely private terrace. Still too cold for the pool, but that will be fantastic too with that beautiful view. And the tips from Bart and Marlee; couldn't be better.

More than a delightful week spent in the fantastic gite of Marleen and Bert. Everything you could possibly need — no hassle of having to buy things like spices, oil, kitchen paper etc. Sounds practical and it is, but for a week and when you're flying in, this is really very nice. The more than generous amount of towels is also so comfortable. The bedroom offered us, besides a good bed, the scent of the already richly blooming wisteria that made its way in through the open window, together with the humming of the insects that were enjoying their part of it. So early in the year we enjoyed over 20 degrees — okay, the swimming pool, it was still too early for that, plus the 'winter residents' still had to move out, but that'll probably happen next time. Because that La Fontanelles is a place to return to again, that's for sure. For the peace, the beautiful walks to be made, the charming villages and towns to visit and certainly also for the warm-hearted people that Marleen and Bert are. Hats off and we hope... see you soon, XXX
